Simple Food When Energy or Concentration Is Low
Nova Wey
Make eating easier on demanding days.
There are days when planning, cooking, or making another decision feels like too much. On those days, the goal can simply be to make the next meal easier.
Build a simple plate
When practical for you, think in three parts: a protein or protein-rich food, a fruit or vegetable, and a carbohydrate or other satisfying food. Use what is available and realistic.
Keep a few easy options available
Choose foods that require little preparation and that you already enjoy. A simple option you will actually eat is more useful than a complicated plan you cannot maintain.
Reduce the number of decisions
Create two or three reliable meal combinations for busy days. Repetition is allowed. The purpose is to reduce friction, not to create a perfect menu.
Your micro-action
Choose one easy meal or snack you can make with what you already have. Write it down as one of your “low-energy options.”
